Trend Alert: Cat Eye Sunglasses

You say cat eye sunglasses, I say Audrey Hepburn.
There are dictates rare moments in fashion, and the opening scene of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” from 1961’s is one of those moments. Audrey Hepburn steps out of the taxi and walks to sauntered to the window of Tiffany & Co., pauses and looks at the jewelry through cat eye sunglasses, which on the one hand transmitting a slight of condescension, yet so mischievous that makes you smile. These 30 seconds dictated a new trend that would never go away – sunglasses with a cat eye frame.

This trend is more referring to the frame – which becomes sharp at the edges, sometimes sharper and sometimes blunter. The lens itself can be larger, or smaller. This type of sunglasses comes in both sunglasses and transparent eyeglasses.

The cat eye sunglasses were always with us – there were moments when they were not so trendy and there were moments, like now, that they made a crazy comeback.

I picked up some of the cat eye sunglasses that I liked the most. Clicking on the image will lead to the page of the product.
